Chelsea have officially announced a five-year contract extension with Trevoh Chalobah.

Chalobah was a direct coach at the club before joining the senior team in 2018. He is having been released for Ipswich Town (2018/19), Huddersfield Town (2019/20). Lorient (2020/21) is on loan before returning to be part of Thomas Tuchel this season. 

The 22-year-old has scored in his opening game against Crystal Palace before making 10 appearances this season. and became one of Tuchel’s key players 

After extending a contract until 2026 with an increase in wages. Chalobah said: “It’s quite unbelievable. But it is a dream for me to sign a long-term contract with my club and hopefully the dream will continue.” “It’s unbelievable to start this season. And it’s something I didn’t expect. But it shows that my hard work and going out on loan have paid off.” 

He has broken into the first-team under Thomas Tuchel. And has become a regular in the Blues side. After coming back from a loan spell at FC Lorient last season. 

He has gone onto make 10 appearances for Chelsea this season. That netting on his Premier League debut against Crystal Palace back in August, capping off a remarkable summer at Stamford Bridge.
